A unique exhibition of works by artists from Auckland's Māpura Studios

Earlier this year, 14 artists from the collective visited the Maritime Musuem. The visit was a generative point of departure and this exhibition reflects the artists' particular relationships to te moana/the ocean. Through the mediums of paint and sculpture, the artists explore topics as diverse as migration stories, sailing, marine life and nostalgic memories of time spent by the sea.
