Make Days at the Maritime Museum
May Make Days | Swimming Skeletons
Every Sunday in May, 10am-2pm | Free with museum entry
Bring a fishy friend to life, bones and all! Tamariki can craft their own quirky fish skeleton puppet, designing wiggly spines, rattly ribs, and plenty of personality.

June Make Days | Treasure Maps
Every Sunday in June, 10am-2pm | Free with museum entry
Ahoy, explorers! Stamp your very own treasure map using our custom map stamps, then draw in rivers, roads, and mysterious landmarks. Where will your treasure be hidden? Deep in a dark forest? Behind a secret waterfall? Buried beneath a giant boulder?

July Matariki Make Days | Matariki Memory Stones
Every Sunday in July, 10am-2pm | Free with museum entry
Drop in with your whānau to create a memory stone in honour of someone special. Kōhatu (stones) are lasting and strong - just like the memories we carry of the people we love.
When finished, you're welcome to take your stone home or add it to our taonga chest — a growing collection of memories made here during Matariki.
A calm, creative activity for all ages. All materials provided.
