Join us at the museum these school holidays for a hands-on adventure where tamariki become apprentice wayfinders! Build a cardboard waka, then set off on a journey through the museum to discover the nine stars of Matariki. Along the way, you’ll uncover star knowledge, learn how Pacific navigators travelled the ocean using the skies above, and explore what the stars can teach us about food, weather, family, and the sea.

Can you find Ururangi, the star of the winds? Will your crew be ready for the voyage ahead? Use the Te Toki star compass to navigate like the great ocean voyagers and collect the knowledge needed for your journey.
