April Holiday Programme: The Sea and Me

Drop into the Maritime Museum this April holiday period and learn how to connect and protect our oceans.

Enjoy a 30-minute interactive performance, make a craft from recycled materials and explore the museum galleries on a self-guided trail.  

Interactive Show: Oh no, a rubbish monster is destroying the sea! Join in on the story of how Pearl journeyed to the bottom of the ocean to help protect many sea creatures’ homes. 

Make & Take Craft: Make your own under-the-sea puppet from recycled materials. 

Gallery Trail: Learn, connect and protect our oceans on this self-guided trail to help you become an advocate for our oceans.

Children must be accompanied by a supervising adult at all times

Storytime at the Maritime 

Every Friday we will be running free storytime sessions exploring the stories of the sea. Your tamariki will be treated to tales of the high seas and can join in the fun with movement and song.

Recommended age group: up to 6 years.

Refresh yourself at Koel, our museum café, before or after storytime and get a free fluffy for your tiny tot with any coffee purchased.

Starts at 10.30am and runs for 30 minutes - Free.
