Join us at the museum this weekend to see master carver Wikuki Kingi and his team at work. Visit anytime between 10am and 2pm on Saturday or Sunday and witness the skill of these artisans as they carve their masterpieces in the museum’s plaza.

With over 45 years’ experience in Toi Māori and Whakairo (art and carving), Tohunga Wikuki Kingi has created hundreds of taonga (cultural treasures), including waka (canoes), marae (wharenui), and pou (totems).
