Thursday 24th May: 5.30-7.30pm
Cost: $45 per person, coffee and tea and biscuits provided
Create your own jewellery piece with contemporary jeweller, Mia Straka in this new after-work programme at the Maritime Museum. The classes will be held in the Museum’s brand new waterfront learning space, and there will also be a cash bar and complimentary snacks and tea and coffee for a social Thursday evening.
The workshops will involve hands on learning of simple metal working techniques, beginning with practice materials before starting a final piece. Students will be able to choose what they’d like to make each class when they arrive. Classes will be kept small to ensure everyone is able to have a quality experience. The workshops are designed to be relaxed and social, and no prior experience will be required.
