About this ObjectWatercolour painting of the GENESTA. The cutter GENESTA was designed by John Beavor-Webb and built by D&W Henderson & Company, Glasgow and launched in 1884. She was owned by Sir Richard Francis Sutton and associated with the Royal Yacht Club, Cowes on the Isle of Wight. In 1885 she was the unsuccessful challenger in the fifth America's Cup race against the PURITAN.
