Brief Description

The glass cased model is a wooden model of Count Felix von Luckner's Seeadler (Sea Eagle), a 3 masted motor yacht. The Seeadler was a World War One raider which was built in Glasgow in 1888. The model is presented with it's 3 masts fully rigged and with her hull painted in green and grey colours. The deck is a natural wood colour. She flies both German naval ensign and German national colours. She was wrecked on the Mopelia Atoll in 1917 and her Captain and crew were taken into captivity by New Zealand Forces.
